Instax polaroid camera:

I had two lights shining directly on to the camera from both sides.

I lowered the left light to create more shadows on the camera.

DIY product shot setups

I tried taking some more test shots with the perfume bottle. I added a flower to bring a natural and feminine touch to the photos. I held a piece of paper over the bulb to make the light less harsh. I swapped the two lamps to add coloured highlights to the product. I tried turning off the main lamp to make the coloured light more prominent. However, this lowered the exposure.

This is the photo I took for the headshot assignment. I think the assessment went well because I was able to adjust all the lights and obtain the desired metre readings. However, I only realised afterwards that I should have readjusted the lights' positions to avoid the shadows in the corners.

The background and subject are similarly exposed. The subject and background have similar exposures. The subject is more exposed than the background.
